Apple concluded its annual WWDC 2022. The unique event had some of the big adverts for this time. Apple showcased the latest generation of the operating systems that power its devices -- iPhones, Apple Watch, Macs, and iPad. Apple announced iOS16, iPadOS16, watchOS9, and macOS Ventura. WWDC 2022 was also big on hardware. Apple broadcast the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro powered by its own silicon M2.

· Apple revealed
numerous updates to its various software platforms including iOS 16, iPadOS 16,
macOS Ventura, and WatchOS 9. Yes, Apple’s new tvOS platform didn’t get any
update at WWDC 2022. The Cupertino-based tech giant has brought tons of new
features and customizations to its various operating systems with the aim to
create the transition between the iPhone, Mac, and iPad seamless.
· We
also got major hardware announcements at its
Worldwide Developers Conference this year. The big hardware announcement at MWC
2022 was a new 5nm M2 chipset, which succeeds the last generation M1 chip. The
new M2 chip offers solid gains in performance over the original M1 SoC. Apple
WWDC 2022 announcements also included an M2 MacBook Pro and a 2022 MacBook Air
a major redesign and the new M2 chip. All of Apple’s new OS updates will be rolled
out to all users this Fall, while public beta testing will be available in July
2022.
· Apple is promising what it calls "desktop-class
apps", with iPadOs16. This includes new APIs, updates to system apps, and more.
